2 day program
Use empathy, geometry, and vector-based design to create thermally efficient flat-pack shelter solutions for people experiencing homelessness.
Learning Program Overview
From housing to humanitarian relief, Advanced Manufacturing is increasingly being integrated into innovative technologies. In this program, students will work with advanced manufacturing technology and undertake rapid prototyping using Lasercutting, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) routing machines, and industry standard vector design software to create emergency, temporary or portable shelters and housing solutions for the community.
Success Criteria
• Solution must address the group’s chosen stakeholder requirements.
• Work constructively with other group members to deliver a thoughtful solution.
• Designed solution considers emerging technological trends and material sustainability.
