In collaboration with local Indigenous group Nalderun, this online program offers a unique perspective on bush foods, blending traditional knowledge with modern insights.

 

What is a microcredential?

A microcredential is a short, focused online learning experience. It is awarded upon completion of assessment and provides the opportunity to collect a digital badge. This badge can be used online such as on a CV, website or LinkedIn and can instantly verify the learning to potential educators or employers.

 

Inclusions:

  • A 90 minute online self directed course for students
  • A 15 minute online teachers guide

 

Student Outcomes:

  • Gain an understanding of the origins and use of several bush foods.
  • Be introduced to Indigenous seasons and how to listen to Country.
  • Gain an overview of First Nations history and culture in relation to bush foods.
  • Understand the need for respect and acknowledgement when using First Nations knowledge in relation to bush foods.
  • Develop own Acknowledgement of Country.
  • Be encouraged to learn more about the First Nations mob local to them.
