Celebrate National Science Week with Bendigo Tech School at this online forum on all things bees
Join three bee industry thought leaders as they discuss the importance of bees, IoT innovations, and the actions that we can take individually to help bee health and survival.
Joining the forum will be CSIRO's Peter Marendy. Peter leads the CSIRO Data61 initiative known as Bees with Backpacks. In this exciting project, bees are fitted with micro-sensors which continuously monitor their behaviour. The data allows researchers, beekeepers and farmers around the world understand how to improve bee health and survival.
Our second guest speaker is Simon Mildren. Simon is an enthusiastic beekeeper and the CEO and founder of HiveKeepers, a Victorian based technology and innovation company working with bees.
Thirdly, we have Slade Beard joining the forum. Slade is the visionary and design architect behind the Ecothought mission to develop future sustainable systems.
