We recently partnered with Goldfields LLEN to create a 360 video workplace tour for Passions & Pathways which aims to give primary school students insights into the ‘world of work’.
Students from St Monica’s and Eaglehawk Primary School produced these videos with support the Bendigo Tech School team. Their 360 tour of the Engineering and Technology building was shot on an Insta Pro 360 Camera, and the students also created a music video to document their experience of producing the tour.
Viewers are invited to experience a Virtual Reality 360 tour of the La Trobe University Bendigo Engineering and Technology Building which houses Bendigo Tech School. The tour includes interviews with staff who work in the building accompanied by explanations of technology and equipment used. The tour can also be viewed on a conventional screen as an interactive 360 video experience.
This 360 tour pilot was a proof of concept project produced tor Passions & Pathways, coordinated by the Goldfields LLEN as the lead partner and funded by Regional Development Victoria to create 360 video tours of Bendigo industries and workplaces with a particular focus on the jobs and skills of the future. Funding is available to develop a 360 industry and workplace tours resource to give young people the aspiration to follow a local career pathway.
Well done to all the young people involved, we love the creativity that you brought to the project such as filming inside the laser cutter and the lean lift.
