International Women in Engineering Day 2020

International Women in Engineering Day is celebrated on June 23 and aims to highlight some of the amazing work by women in engineering and technical roles. Women account for just over 1 in 10 qualified engineers in Australia. Additionally, female students consider engineering as the least important when considering the importance of STEM knowledge for future employment.

The Bendigo Tech School is supporting the day by sharing insights into the world of work in engineering, professional achievements and pieces of advice from women in the engineering field in our local area.

  1. Dr Bandita Mainali - Lecturer, Water and Environment Engineering, La Trobe University
  2. Kylie Douglas - Senior Landfill Engineer, City of Greater Bendigo
