2021 Teacher PD Programs
Bendigo Tech School offers a range of pedagogy-rich, tech-focussed professional development opportunities to support teachers.
Our 2 hr Introduction to Design Thinking teacher PD is the essential starting place for all educators keen to learn about Design Thinking and how BTS programs run. During remote learning, a reduced content 1.5 hr ONLINE Intro’ to Design Thinking teacher PD was made available to all teachers in Victoria.
We offer Tech Upskill PD sessions (see table below) to support the use of specific tech. And new in 2021, the empowering three-day Design to Innovate PD, developed in partnership with the Bastow Institute and the DET, is offered across all Tech Schools.
Online software upskilling sessions are also available for anyone to access without prerequisites (please see relevant Latest News Post).

Please note:
From 2021 teachers are no longer required to undertake our Design Thinking PD prior to booking programs. Optional parallel PD can be taken online alongside your students when you attend the Tech School on programs of 2 or more days duration from Term 1, 2021 onwards.

Learn the design techniques and software required to create a project using subtractive manufacturing processes. In this session, you will become familiar with using vector-based software to design a name tag or similar product and how to manufacture your design with a range of materials on a laser cutter. |

Use this immersive form of digital communication to engage your students with limitless creative possibilities. In this 1.5 hour session, you will learn the augmented reality essentials by designing an AR business card. You will also have the opportunity to design and test your own AR tracker. |
